The light and fresh interior (by local firm BFS Design) is in stark contrast with the neigborhood. The food is a contemporary version of the south German kitchen.
There’s not much to choose from but it’s all prepared with fresh ingredients from local farms. The apple cream soup with fresh garlic (€ 7.50) was well balanced and the Wiener schnitzel (€ 18.50) is rumored to be one of the best in the city. Vegetarians are taken seriously in this place. It’s not a Michelin star restaurant, but the combination of attentive waitresses and honest food in a pleasant decor makes it an attractive affair. Oh, did I mention that the bill was just over € 40,- for a three course meal including drinks?”
